Zina Tahseen Al-Saleem
I’m a proud volunteer of the North American Mandaean Convention committee and have been with the committee for the past 16 years. I formally joined the NAMC organizing committee back in May of 2007 to help out the committee to improve and bring fresh ideas to the “Mandaean camp”. Working closely with everyone, I have helped develop the camp into a bigger and more organized convention. I am also a part-time hospital Pharmacist in Pennsylvania and a full-time mom of three beautiful girls (Leena 21 years, Noor 20 years, and Dalia, almost 10 years). I am here because of the love and support of my beautiful girls and my husband Firas Saidi. I hope to continue to give back to my Mandaean community and to build up our gathering for our kids.
Samhar Razzak
I left Iraq in 1990 and have been living in Toronto, Canada since then. I am an Accountant and currently work as an Accounting Manager. I like to read history books as well as old books, I enjoy traveling and learning the history and culture of many unique places. I met my husband, Firas Alazawi, at the 4th Mandaean convention (camp) in 1999, and it was love at first sight. We got married that same year and we were later blessed by the arrival of our handsome boys, Ameel and Aidan. I am proud to be part of this unique religion and as a mother of two boys, it’s especially important to me to teach and encourage a positive attitude about our religion and culture, and preserve the teachings of our ancient religion, from one generation to the next. For this reason, I have been actively volunteering with the Mandaean Convention and involved in planning the annual convention for the past 16 years.
Milad Camisi
My name is Milad Camisi and I am a Strategic Integrations Manager at Nespresso and full time dedicated mom and wife. I live in New York and have been happily married to Frank Firas Camisi since 2006 when he decided to propose in front of everyone during the NAM Convention in Canada that year! We have three beautiful children- Adam 14, Samra 12, and Ethan who will turn 8 in August! I am happy to be a part of the 2024 NAMC committee, as all members share the same passion to improve and make a difference in our unique Mandaean community. This is my nine year as part of the committee and I feel proud that my children now crave this wonderful tradition of connecting with family and friends with the same cultural values.
